Brooklyn Bertram Crowned Little Miss Ag Days 2016
Nine kindergarten and first grade contestants braved heat at the Edwards County Fair in Mount Carmel for the 2016 Little Miss Ag Days pageant on August 10. Brooklyn Bertram won with her ferris wheel answer. Pristine Fisher was first runner up and Makenlee Seals second runner up. Judges included Grace Fieber Rachel Burns Abi Anderson. emcee Scott Allen noted long-running pageant history.

Ag Days continues with Evansville group The Duke Boys on stage at 7:30 p.m. with four and five part harmonies and doo wop choreography. Sponsored by First National Bank and the Wabash County Tourism Committee. Today features lemon shake up booth at 11 a.m. and rides at 5 p.m. Saturday includes antique tractor show 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and a Jake Hoult Band night sponsored by First Mid Illinois Bank & Trust and Mount Carmel Public Utility.

Pace Car to be raffled off at Ag Days fundraiser
Kevin List of LIP Motors ports donated a 1978 Corvette Pace car for Safe Haven Women & Children Homeless Shelter. Tickets cost 20 dollars for one entry or 100 dollars for five entries. The raffle ends at 2,000 tickets sold or at the 2016 Christmas Festival with draws for cash prizes and weekly pizza prizes.

District 348 Meeting To Discuss Budget And Repairs
