Funeral services for James D. Moser 74 of Route 7 Mount Airy will be held today at 2 pm at Antioch Baptist Church after a long illness. Born in Surry County to Lee and Rotellie Fawlin Moser he was a retired farmer and a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife Effie Haymore Moser and four sons Thomas Roscoe Wayne and J D Moser Jr with two daughters and five sisters and brothers. The body will lie at Moody Funeral Home and be moved to the church at 1:30 pm for burial in the church cemetery.

Will Operator Succumbs Here Funeral for Walter Sides
The funeral for Walter Henry Sides of 205 Rawley Avenue Mount Airy will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Moory Funeral Chapel. He died Sunday night after an extended illness. A Forsyth County native, he was the former owner and operator of Sides Mill and Ice Company on West Virginia Street in Mount Airy. He attended Central United Methodist Church and is survived by his sister Mrs Lillie S. Kapp of the home and two nieces, Mrs Rachel Hazel and Miss Mary Eugenia Keep. Burial will be at Oakdale Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Central United Methodist Church building fund.
