30th Surry Fair Opens With Beauty Contest
The Surry County Agricultural Fair starts Monday at Veterans Memorial Park and runs through Saturday September 17. Manager James McNeil expects 40 000 to 50 000 visitors for the 30th annual event. Changes include moving the date up a week to dodge rain, updating the midway, and adding live demonstrations by extension homemakers clubs.
