United Fund Drive To Start In October
Officials of the United Fund of Greater Mount Airy announced plans to launch the fall fund raising drive in the first week of October. John Stevens said Bill Murphy will head the drive, replacing Steve Cloniger. The budget for 1976 77 was prepared by the Budget and Admissions Committee led by Watson Murphy. Directors approved the proposed budget and discussed outstanding pledges from 1975 76, noting 91 percent collected but 8.8 percent still needed by month end to disburse funds on schedule. Campaign divisions and leaders were listed, including John E Woltz as chairman of the chairman s division and six divisions covering firms and professional groups.
