Veterans of the 81st Wildcat Division from North Carolina plan a two day reunion in Lenoir November 19 and 20. William B. Golding 75 Dies at Home in Mount Airy
William Baugie Golding died at his son’s home in Mount Airy Route 3 Tuesday morning. Born October 7 1874 in Surry County to William and Luna Golding he was a longtime Masonic member and charter member of the Dobson Lodge. Funeral services were held at Old Round Knob Primitive Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Surviving are five sons 26 grandchildren and one great grandchild along with four sisters.

Hendren Indren E. Hendren, 68, a former Mount Airy teacher and retired businessman, was injured Sunday at 3 30 pm when a Deluxe cab backed into him near the Post Office on East Pine Street. He suffered a fractured right hip and was taken to Martin Memorial Hospital. Cab driver Wayne Weddle, 25, faces reckless driving charges.
