Surry Clubs Dominate Raritan Awards At Greensboro Meet
Surry County Raritan clubs swept district honors at the N C Piedmont District 31 convention in Greensboro. Beulah Raritan Club won the district community service award while Copeland and South Caswell clubs were runners up for community service. Other recognitions went to White Plains Long Hill for membership gains and Copeland Ferguson for convention attendance. Fred Goins became district governor and John Wood Beulah secretary as about 400 attendees celebrated 36 clubs and 1100 members.
