Renda Racer to Enter Yuletide Parade in Mount Airy
Renda Racer also known as Junior Johnson joins the Mount Airy Christmas Parade on November 2 with a racing car down Main Street. Clown Frank Cain and Misses Dale Smith, Linda Doss, Frances Woltz, Kathy Atkins, Renda Atkins, and Vickie Denny are listed as entrants. Superior Court Set Next Week in Surry County
A two week term of Surry Superior Court begins Wednesday in Dotcom with Judge Walter E Crissman presiding. The docket lists 202 offenses for trial and 14 sci fi cases to be handled at the court's pleasure. Of the total cases, 128 involve persons. Red Cross Sets Taping Dates for Overseas Relatives
The local Red Cross Chapter will tape voice recordings and pictures of relatives of service members overseas on November 17 and 18. Mrs Ada Shelton, shown with Mrs Frances James, will book sessions for the project. Capt Bass J. Shelton, an Air Force pilot based in Taiwan, often flies around Southeast Asia including Vietnam.
