Bassett Furniture Announces 7 Million Plant Expansion
Bassett Furniture Industries disclosed details of a 7 million dollar furniture plant to be built on Sheep Farm Road near Mount Airy. The 520000 square foot, two story facility is slated for completion in June 1975, with existing Mount Airy operations repurposed into additional manufacturing. Raymond Smith Jr remains general manager of the Mount Airy division.
