Four Room Addition Planned At North Main School
Mount Airy City Schools will start a four room addition at North Main School within weeks to relieve crowding. A fifth grade class now uses the nearby high school due to space limits, and a modern lunch room is planned. The Banner town school will gain two classrooms and a teachers rest room. Emma Bunker Davis Bunker 990 longtime resident died Thursday at a Boone convalescent home after a year as a patient. Born April 13 1863 in Surry County she was widow of Jesse L Bud Bunker who was killed by lightning in 1909. Survived by sons Fred Morganten and David C Detroit.
