In Asheville on June 7 a crowd gathered on a new bridge ridge to witness 3,500 to 4,000 seized intoxicants smashed at the central pier. The event, supported by the W C T U and local officials led by Judge Junius G. Adams, showcased victory over liquor with all bottles reportedly breaking on impact.
