Raymond Stevens Rites Tomorrow
A graveside service for Raymond Stevens, 46, of Riverdale Maryland, will be held tomorrow at 2 pm at Midkiff Cemetery. Stevens died Monday morning at Prince George's Hospital Cheverly Maryland after an illness. He was born in Surry County to John A and Alice Jones Stevens and was a World War II veteran.

Funeral for 93 year old Mrs. Sallie Combs Meeks of Lambsburg Va takes place today at 2 p.m. at Blue Ridge Chapel Pipers Gap with burial in the church cemetery. She died Wednesday in a Galax Va hospital. Survived by husband Ilda Mae Tomblin Stevens two sons four daughters three brothers four sisters and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral rites for Dr. Vance Kendrick of Charlotte were held Monday at Myers Park Baptist Church. The dentist died Saturday after a heart attack. Surviving family includes his wife two children and sister Mrs J Graham Harrison of Mount Airy.
