Indians Would See It As A Land In Common
The piece recalls how natives roamed a vast America before settlers arrived and how, after buffalo, cattle, and farming changed the landscape, drought and dust storms devastated prairie states. It notes government aid talks and a proposed beginning aid of five hundred million dollars amid twenty affected states as crops fail and wind lifts topsoil. The author asks what a wild Indian would comment on these changes and rights in the land.
