Jas Murphy a 32 year old Tampa businessman killed himself after visiting an Asheville undertaker last night. He shot himself in a private office and died an hour after being taken to a hospital. He left a note asking to be buried there and for his family not to trouble themselves. He is survived by his wife a son and three brothers in Florida.

North Carolina mills will supply much of the timber. contracts to be let within 60 days and timber delivery to shipyards designated by the government.
