An American father awakens from a ridiculous dream where a count seeks his daughter’s hand with no money demands. The count claims he loves her and asks for consent, but the father’s attempted embrace collapses as he falls from the bed. The judge’s remark closes the scene.
The convention met Monday morning after Saturday night adjournment to complete the election of delegates to the national convention. Senator Simmons and Major E. J. Hale were chosen delegates. alternates include Gen. J. S. Carr and others. Attorney General, Commissioner of Labor and Corporation Commissioner races were hotly contested with several candidates. Bickett won Attorney General on the ninth ballot. The body adjourned without a day at 11:30 after a multi day session.
In a court a woman sues another for slander. While in the witness box she hesitates to repeat a remark. Her counsel urges truth telling and the witness demurs. The judge is urged to hear the alleged statement in whispers as the case unfolds.
