Mount Airy residents Mr and Mrs L A Hiatt announce son Pvt William Clyde Hiatt has arrived safely in Korea and is stationed on the front lines. He graduated from Flat Rock High School and enlisted May 2 1951. He trained at Fort Knox Kentucky and in automotive mechanics then went overseas to Honshu Japan for chemical defense training.

Mrs Rozelle Lowry Cameron wife of Frank Cameron died at her Rutledge Tennessee home last Thursday evening at 6 15 after months of illness She was born in Morristown daughter of William H Lowry and sister of Thomas J Lowry founder of the Mount Airy News Funeral services were held at Narrow Valley Baptist Church nine miles from Rutledge with burial in the church cemetery Survivors include her husband one daughter Miss Virginia Cameron three sisters and two brothers She taught in Hamblin and Granger counties schools for more than 23 years Those attending from Mount Airy included John R Lowry and Mrs F A Fleming Miss Rosa Lowry and Miss Mary Lowry
