Guard Fence Along Fancy Gap Road Near State Line

A Mount Airy delegation urged early construction of a larger public building at a Treasury Department hearing in Washington. Judge W F Carter Sheriff Haynes and Postmaster Sparger spoke with officials about securing a new post office using local granite. officials gave no firm promise this year. The Elliott public buildings bill may allow five new state buildings, but lists of cities are undecided. Carter expressed optimism after a warm reception in Mount Airy upon return.
