Joe Hall son of Mr and Mrs James Hall of Mount Airy has landed safely somewhere in the Pacific war zone after enlisting in May 1942 and training at Camp Bowie. Mrs Frannie Schumaker widow of Arthur Schumaker of 120 Welch Street died Monday morning at about 10 in Baptist Hospital Winston-Salem. Born in Patrick County Virginia she lived in North Carolina for 30 years as daughter of Ingram and Alice Odell Wilson.
