Hulls Injured In Saturday Wreck Near Mount Airy
Mr and Mrs Cleve Hull of route 2 escaped serious harm Saturday when their car left the Winston Salem highway at Needham's hill and overturned four times landing in a creek. Mrs Hull suffered a forehead cut and chest bruises and was unconscious for nearly two hours. Mr Hull sustained three broken ribs and a bruised side. They are hospitalized at Martin Memorial. Mrs Hull had been up all Friday night due to her grandmother’s illness and was returning from Winston Salem. A Michigan driver behind them reported she was not driving faster than 25 mph.

New Bridge To Replace Old One On Patrick Road
Virginia Highway Department announced award of contract for a new bridge on Route 1% in Patrick County near the North Carolina line.
