Sister Hero Saves Sister From House Fire
Nellie Lawson eight year old daughter of Mr Pletcher Lawson showed heroism by extinguishing a fire that endangered her five year old sister Bettie Jean. A younger brother's play with a stick caused the outfit to catch fire. Nellie dashed water on Bettie Jean then removed the burned clothing and ran to a neighbor. Bettie Jean received medical care. burns are not serious and she is recovering.

Veneer Plant Fire Destroys Building Near South Street
