Smith Captured in Murder Case with Bond Talk in Greensboro
Smith of Smithtown, implicated in the Hendrix homicide, was captured Friday night by Deputy Pratt and brought to Greensboro. He seeks a bond of five thousand dollars, hired attorney C. C. Kael, and says he is innocent, while District Attorney Holton and US Commissioner Wolfe review charges including conspiracy to obstruct the law. He is held without bail on the conspiracy charge and moved to Forsyth jail to prevent contact with co-prisoners.
