Dr O B Copeland head of the Agricultural Information Division NC State College Raleigh will deliver the main address for the 10th Annual Farmer's Day in Dobson tonight at 7 in the Dobson High School auditorium. Lions Club sponsors the event with Horace Adams in charge. Three afternoon sessions feature C Richard Hoskins presiding with speakers on tobacco production livestock income and poultry production from NC State College experts.

Mrs. Edith Webster Dies After Long Illness at 52
Edith Gilbert Webster 52 of 134 Church Street died at 12 05 pm Saturday at home after several months illness. She was born August 13 1905 in Stuart Virginia to Will and Daisy Gilbert and survived by husband Paul D Webster II two sons William Phillip and Paul D Webster III two grandchildren three brothers Paul Gilbert Phil Gilbert Brown Gilbert. She was a 1926 graduate of Martin Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and a past worthy matron of the Mount Airy Eastern Star. Funeral 2 30 pm Monday at First Baptist Church conducted by Rev Preston Taylor burial Oakdale Cemetery pallbearers listed.

Born April 28 1867 in Surry County to Samuel and Evelyn Simmons Critz he leaves four sons Hunter Tom Emory and Roy all of Mount Airy route 3 two daughters Mrs Howard Jones and Mrs Fred Samuel both of Mount Airy route 3 and two grandchildren. Funeral 2 pm Monday at Antioch Baptist Church with Rev Hodges Ingram and Wilson officiating burial in church cemetery.

Saturday Egg Truck Crash Near Mount Airy Injures Driver
A tractor-trailer carrying 211 200 eggs and valued at 14 500 wrecked on Highway 52 north of Mount Airy. Driver Stephen Ravnell Parker 24 of Lake City South Carolina escaped with no injuries. passenger H D Cain 49 of Pamplico South Carolina had minor cuts. City Schools Pride as Graduates Surpass State Average
