Mrs Hiatt of Ararat Dies After Long Illness
Mrs Laura Harold Hiatt 87 of Ararat Virginia died yesterday at Northern Surry Hospital after a long illness. She was the widow of Robert Hiatt who died in 1962. Survived by two sons four daughters numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral at Willow Hill Moravian Church Saturday at 3 pm with burial in church cemetery. Family at Moody Funeral Home tonight 7 to 9.

Heart Sunday Drive Slated in Granite City and Environs
A corps of volunteers will tour residential areas Sunday as part of the annual Heart Sunday drive. Mrs. James W. Nichole of Toast is chairwoman with a slate of divisional chairs to organize the county heart fund campaign peak. Governor Dan K Moore designated February as Heart Month in North Carolina. Nichole will be at Trinity Episcopal Parish House 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday for volunteers to report. Rural Heart Sunday activities are set for February 27.
