Speed Competition Charged To Drivers
Two men were brought to Mount Airy police headquarters after a State Patrolman charged them with wilful speed competition on a highway and speeding at 75 mph in a 50 mph lane. Beck posted 8500 bond and was released pending a February 20 trial in Mount Airy Recorder’s Court. The defendants are Greer W. Johnson, 23, of Trinity St. Mount Airy, and Nathan W. Holyfield, 20, of route 7, Mount Airy.
