Porter Hampton coowner of Triangle Laundry dies at 38
Porter Mina Hampton 38 of 544 Country Club Road, coowner of Triangle Laundry and Cleaners, died Tuesday at Northern Surry Hospital. Funeral services were held at Moody Funeral Chapel. Born in Grayson County Virginia to K. V. and Dita Davis Hampton, he was a World War II veteran, Mason, Shrine member, and member of VFW Post 2019 and Mount Airy Elks Lodge 2061. He is survived by his wife Frankie Lynch Hampton, a son Griggs Hampton, a stepmother Annie J. Hampton, and two sisters. Burial was at Oakdale Cemetery.
