Little Boy Suffers Skull Fracture in Sled Accident
About 6 30 this morning seven year old Donald Roberts son of Mr and Mrs Dick Roberts was struck by a car driven by Woodson Boyd at his home by the street and suffered a fracture. Witnesses said no blame attached to the driver who was taking Moody children to school. Boyd aided the boy and summoned an ambulance to the hospital where X ray showed a slight fracture over the left eye. Later hospital reports said he rallied and would recover nicely.

Escaped prisoner recaptured in Dobson after jail break
Kenneth Marshall is back in Dobson jail after escaping Sunday with three others Leo Jacobs Clifford Parker and Tom Dobson. They fled the jail at five o clock in windy weather using broken cell locks. Jacobs had previously escaped and was recaptured two weeks later. The same night the Lewellyn car was stolen and Simmons Clothing Store in Pilot Mountain was burglarized, likely by the same trio.
