High Honors For Baptist Minister

Lovill To Operate Warehouse Here
Work is underway on a large tobacco warehouse on Liberty street at White street in Winston-Salem built by J. W. Lovill Joe Pell and F P Joyce. The brick structure will front 190 feet with 200 feet depth and house auction operations. Lovill leases his auction sale interest to Charlie Dalton who will join Pell and Joyce in fall. Caleb Wagoner Sentenced 15 to 20 Years for Murder
In Dobson court Judge Wilson Warlick sentenced Caleb Wagoner to 15 to 20 years for second degree murder in the Tom Marion case after Wagoner pleaded guilty. The defendant claimed insanity earlier, and the trial included venue changes and testimony about Wagoner’s liquor dealing in Siloam.

Juniors Entertain Seniors at Mount Airy Banquet
Juniors host a Friday night banquet at the Masonic Temple dining room honoring Mount Airy High School seniors. CCC Camp Boy Killed by Car Near Dobson
Ernest Johnson an 18 year old CCC camp member from Canton route 1 was struck by a car driven by Clifford Stone of Haystack near this city on the Longap road. Johnson died instantly. Stone faces a May 5 hearing with $1000 bond. Johnson buried in Canton last Tuesday.
