Death of Charles Turnbull at Lawrenceville Virginia
Mrs. C M Whitlock received notice of the death of her half-brother Charles Turnbull in Lawrenceville Virginia where he had made his home. He was about 21 and had been in poor health for months after a shoulder amputation from a car wreck. Funeral services were held in Lawrenceville Thursday afternoon.

Tommie Wrenn of Greensboro died from a fractured skull after being run over by a car driven by J. W. White of Jonesboro. White, previously from the county and former owner of the Shade Franklin farm, is held on a murder charge amid claims he was intoxicated at the time. The boy lingered after admission to a Richmond brain clinic for about three weeks without regaining consciousness.
