Moulton FFA Seeks Subscriptions For Official Merchandise

Blair Fed Broilers Gain Record First at Missouri State Fair

Doris Breedlove of Lebanon Mo raised 99 Cornish-White Rock broilers from 100 chicks from Mound Hatchery. The birds averaged 3.58 lb and required 1.97 lb Blair Certified Broiler Ration per pound gained. Four birds sold for 11.50 per lb to Blair Milling. Blair emphasizes laying feeds with enhanced antibiotics and vitamin B12 for cost efficient egg production.

Wells Township Farm Bureau Meets at Moulton School

The Wells Township Farm Bureau held its regular meeting at the Moulton school building on Friday night September 14 with director Carl Murr ell presiding. Nineteen adults and two children attended as resolutions were adopted and elections held. Refreshments closed the evening. The Wells Homemakers club plans a meeting at the Moulton Christian Church on Monday afternoon September 24.

Moulton High Baseball Reaches County Finals

The Moulton High School baseball team opened with a 10-0 five inning win over Mystic, led by Dennis Howard and Teddy Norton. They then beat Pulaski 10-0 in six, with Larry Harrington and Larry Cook homering and Cook pitching a no hitter. A game versus Cincinnati was postponed with report to follow next week.
