Moulton School Receives 35 New Library Books

The Moulton Public School library welcomed 35 new books last Thursday spanning science fiction adventure sports pioneer western Indian stories Bible tales and present day issues. Titles include Farmer in the Sky Rescue Below Zero The Black Stallion and Satan Witch Doctor's Son The Foreigner Prom Trouble and A Man for Mercy.

Road hogs on stairs and halls urged to be courteous

A school notice urges students to stop driving or walking halfway down stairs or hallway passages. It calls for orderly passing and courtesy to others. Each person should share space and avoid blocking or pushing.

Freshmen Initiation Party Held Friday Night

The Sophomore class held the annual Freshmen Initiation Party on Friday September 9 at 8:00 at the schoolhouse. Games included Truth or Consequences with penalties for unanswered questions. Wilma Howard hosted. contestants faced onion noses and foot kissing as the loser. Refreshments followed and dancing concluded the evening.

New Vocational Agriculture Instructor at Moulton High

Moulton High School introduces Mr. Frank Anderson as the new vocational agriculture instructor. Born May 24, 1926 in Dodge City Kansas he earned 135 college credits, taught in Wilson and Russell County Kansas, served as young peoples director for the Kansas Farm Bureau, and has been with Farm Bureau Insurance in Iowa since 1953. He champions a practical student motto: interest in school work and applied learning after graduation.

Vocational Agriculture Elects New FFA Officers

The agriculture boys elected officers on September 8 with Glen Jones as President and Bobby Kenyon as Vice President. Jimmy Trimble serves as Secretary, Orval Stevenson as Treasurer, Jim Yates as Sentinel, and David Barber as Reporter. They attended the district FFA officers meeting at Fairfield where all officers were present except Trimble. They discussed officer duties and plan to move into the new building on October 15.
