The Moulton Public School library welcomed 35 new books last Thursday spanning science fiction adventure sports pioneer western Indian stories Bible tales and present day issues. Titles include Farmer in the Sky Rescue Below Zero The Black Stallion and Satan Witch Doctor's Son The Foreigner Prom Trouble and A Man for Mercy.
A school notice urges students to stop driving or walking halfway down stairs or hallway passages. It calls for orderly passing and courtesy to others. Each person should share space and avoid blocking or pushing.

Wilma Howard hosted. contestants faced onion noses and foot kissing as the loser. Refreshments followed and dancing concluded the evening.

Moulton High opened its season with a 15-1 loss to Cincy as Coach Reberry outlined the slate. They then beat Moravia 6-5 on the local diamond with pitcher David Barber earning the victory. Mystic yielded 15 runs to Moulton in a dominant 17 hit performance.
Moulton High School introduces Mr. Frank Anderson as the new vocational agriculture instructor. Born May 24, 1926 in Dodge City Kansas he earned 135 college credits, taught in Wilson and Russell County Kansas, served as young peoples director for the Kansas Farm Bureau, and has been with Farm Bureau Insurance in Iowa since 1953. He champions a practical student motto: interest in school work and applied learning after graduation.
A list of whimsical, often humorous responses to the question what would you do with a clumber. People suggest giving, carrying, studying, or using the name in playful ways. The text also defines a clumber as a bird dog breed with short legs a stout body and distinctive coat.
In reading class we read in Our Big Book about Dick Jane and Sally. In art we drew clown pictures to brighten the room and in writing we practiced writing the names of our storybook friends.
The agriculture boys elected officers on September 8 with Glen Jones as President and Bobby Kenyon as Vice President. Jimmy Trimble serves as Secretary, Orval Stevenson as Treasurer, Jim Yates as Sentinel, and David Barber as Reporter. They attended the district FFA officers meeting at Fairfield where all officers were present except Trimble. They discussed officer duties and plan to move into the new building on October 15.
Students celebrate a first place finish in the Jamboree parade. They enjoy making picture books, drawing pictures, writing captions beneath each image, and coloring the pages.
The third week of school shows students knowing each other and working hard. They express enjoyment of science and describe studying day and night as part of their lessons.
Olive Mae Stoner seeks a divorce from Earl James Stoner in Appanoose County District Court Iowa alleging cruel and inhuman treatment. No property or children from the marriage. court may grant divorce and other proper orders. Defendants must appear by October 21, 1955 or default and decree will be entered.
On August 31 1955 the District Court of Appanoose County Iowa appointed Everett R Engle as administrator of Grace Engle deceaseds estate. All creditors must file claims legally authenticated with the court. Attorney for the estate is Charles L Johnston and clerk is M G Luse. Two publications assisted.
