Halloween Party At School Brightens Our Week
An interesting project in which we took part last week featured a jack o lantern named Jolly Judy. Pupils dressed in costumes and joined a parade, then enjoyed ice cream bars and Halloween candy. Meredith Williams returns after illness as visitors report. First through Third grades describe parties, plans for November decorations, and a cottage cheese unit in social studies.

MHS reports on aptitude tests band cheerleaders and show attendance
MHS students completed aptitude tests on citizenship science math and reading across social studies natural science and literature. The girls basketball season opener is over and the team plans to win the rest. The band debuted new pop songs Friday night. A pep meeting with new cheerleaders Martha Ward Marlene Marvin Shari Burgher and Carol Davison boosted school spirit. Students were excused Wednesday afternoon to see the show Quo Vadis which many found wonderful. Closing thought urges persistence in face of doubt.

Halloween Party Hosted by Forsythe and Selvy Juniors
