Spring family and Russell Spurgeon visited H. B. Spring. W M S held annual Mother Daughter Banquet at church with pink white decor. Caroline Moore hosted with Jean Spring assisting. Additional visitors included Billie Cox, Floyd Moffitt, Lloyd Selix, Milt Harris of Des Moines. Udell Kindergarten group enjoyed a coop dinner at Centerville Park. Lee Moffitt and son visited Minnie Moffitt. Neal Wagner family weekended in Mount Ayr at Byers home. Mrs. Walter Mitchell of Centerville visited Ora Powell.
COATSVILLE reports a parade of visits with multiple households noted. Lem Burgher from Moberly travels to Ottumwa to see sister Kate Slavin. Mrs Pearl Archibald returns from Keokuk after two weeks with daughter and family. John McCullough of Centerville visits Mrs Pearl Archibald. Moravia residents Fauchen Winslet and Rowena McFarthridge spend Sunday with Mrs J M Henson. The group tours Kirksville to visit friends. Other guests include Kenneth Kelley Roy Southern and Mrs C Judd with Mrs Gail Stites at the Kelley home. Mrs Lee Burgher Lowell Beeler and daughters visit hospital in Moberly. Chas Moler Ronald Stites visit David Hulen in Keokuk. Mrs Andy Kent spent Wednesday with Ottumwa relatives.
Mr and Mrs Ronald Stites visited Richard Trimble at Ottumwa hospital on Sunday. Mrs Joretta Ridgeway and son Lorena Horn of Moulton and Zetta Sapp of Centerville called at Mrs J M Henson’s home Sunday evening.
Bloomfield residents and guests share visits across towns with Irene Hyatt and Maxine visiting Tuesday Afternoon. Janice Grey and Barbara Briggs toured Bloomfield High School with Carolyn Jones. Laura Tharp attended the Band Picnic. Excelsior Springs trips and Phoenix visits are noted. A baby girl was born to Edwin and wife at Davis County Hospital Friday May 20.
Hool-aid was served. The evening was spent socially with Mr. and Mrs. Troy Conger and Sheila Seals. On Sunday they visited Brookfield, Missouri, with Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Seals. Agnes McClurg spent the day at the Robert McClurg home. Afternoon visitors included Mr. and Mrs. Jack McClurg and family and Mr. and Mrs. Clemon Mickels and family.
The Cloverettes 4-H Club met at Enid Morrow's home with twelve members one leader and four guests. Roll call on garden plants featured demonstrations on drop cookies muffins and fruit vegetable preparation for a salad. Sherrill Johnson was chosen for convention with Jennie Lee Johnson as alternate plus Carolyn Jones as county officer candidate and Enid Morrow as speaker. Bake sale set for May 21 at Hutchings Appliance Store. next meeting June 16 at Janice Grey's home.

Rebekah Lodge met in regular session on May 19 with Margaret Forsythe in charge. The F. N. Club donated $2 for hall use at the Mothers Day meeting. Rebekahs will entertain the P. N. G.s at the next regular meeting. Inez Davis, Vi Hays, Faith Hutchison and Norine Ratliff will lead entertainment. Work is planned for the June 2 meeting. refreshments and a social hour ended the evening.
