MHS traveled to Udell on Wednesday April 27 and lost 11 to 1. Purdum pitched for Udell giving up 11 runs and 11 hits with 6 walks while fanning 11. Moore started for Moulton, allowing 1 run on 3 hits with 4 walks and 7 strikeouts. Jim Andrews led Moulton with 3 singles in 5 at bats, while Norton, Moore, Winans, Howard, Kenyon, Morlan, and Stevenson added one hit each.

This & That High School News Brief
Last Thursday morning the high school and grades gathered in the gym to see a juggler. Seniors chose sides to sell annuals and the losing side pays a prize. A hundred annuals were ordered and sold by Friday. A small pox case caused vaccinations and sore arms. Vacation is near with three weeks left. Juniors plan a quiet banquet and an alumni dance after at 9:00 pm. tickets cost $1.50 a couple or $1 single.

Seventh Grade News Morrell Chorus Concert and Skate Event
The Morrell Male Chorus performed in full dress on April 19 under grade sponsorship with religious, popular and semi classical numbers. Proceeds funded a skating party financed by John Morrell and Company. Mothers provided a chicken dinner and chaperones assisted. On April 25 seventh graders attended a private skating party at Hilltop Rink with guests. Students work on a safety poster in art class and study Laughter Holding Both His Sides.
