Clyde E. Williams, 41, of Ottumwa, died in a head-on collision between two trucks on the Bloomfield Ottumwa road, about a mile north of Bloomfield near the Fox River bridge. Snowfall and slick pavement reduced visibility and caused the wreck. Williams had lived in Moulton about 15 years ago.

Work On West Road Progressing Rapidly
The Moulton to Mt. Ararat road project in Appanoose county under the WPA shows rapid grading progress. Over a mile and a half of seven miles has been completed with corners eliminated and ditches cut. The route likely will be paved or graveled after grading. Another Moulton Coatsville section, led by Davis county, moves toward an all weather southern outlet upon completion.
