M U Tattler Staff List and Roles

The M U Tattler announces its editorial team with Kathy Bain as editor and Carol Davis as assistant editor. Senior Spotlight is led by Linda Whisler, with Shirley Brinegar and Joyce Clayworth as class editors for high school and grades respectively. Sports are coordinated by John Archer and Judy Ogden, with humor editors Judy Meeker, Diane Marvin, and Jennie Davis. End of Year Events at Moulton Udell High 1965

Spring activities fill the sixth six weeks at Moulton Udell High School with FFA Barnwarming on April 9, Music Contest on April 10, Junior Senior Prom on May 8, Senior Baccalaureate and Graduation on May 20. Editor Kathy Kay Bain notes hopes for strong scholastic standing as the year closes.

Boys Baseball Season Opens With April 14 Game

Practice starts March 22 for pitchers and catchers as the flooded ball diamond forces conditioning in the gym. By March 29 all boys report for practice and use back roads for running. First game scheduled April 14 against Moravia.

Girls in Office Practice take Civil Service Merit Test

In an Office Practice class, girls sat the Civil Service Merit System test on Thursday April 1. The two to three hour exam included shorthand at 60 wpm, 10 minute typing, and a written section on vocabulary grammar spelling arithmetic punctuation filing proofreading and reading comprehension.

FFA Members Prepare For State Leadership Event And Barnwarm

The Moulton Udell FFA Chapter outlines shop safety training including safety tests and one week of arc welder and saw practice. Dale Brinegar, Larry Brinegar head to the State Leadership Convention with Dale Davis joining the band. The FFA Barnwarming is set for April 9, 1965 and is open to all eligible attendees with tickets from members or at the door.

Brenda Singley moved to Arizona and is missed by the class. Cindy Marshall joins the group in Brenda’s former home. Mrs L O Mullenix and Mrs Pearl Archibald returned home after visiting their daughter and husband in Pekin. Mr and Mrs A J Kent spent time in Ottumwa with Mrs Elwina Mathers and children. Fred Martin and three children from Wyaconda Mo joined T E Mullenix for a Saturday dinner. Bill Spears visited Ver Dean Moore in Blakesburg. C B Moler and daughter Ronald Stites spent weekend with Jim Moler in New Franklin Missouri.

Judy Beeler from Kansas City along with John Beeler and Richard Trimble of Columbia spent the weekend at home here. Sunday guests included Mr. and Mrs. Cleo Adkins and son of Keokuk and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Winkleman near Kirksville. Freddie Gene Martin of Wyaconda visited with his grandparents the Mullenixes from Saturday to Monday. Birthday greetings were sent to Mrs. Russell Crawford as her family gathered at the Crawford home near Numa with the Dotsons Hensons Ballews and Slack. Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Mullenix ate with the Austin Tallman family near Lancaster. Betty Chance and children visited with the Roushs on Sunday afternoon.
