Dawson reports H W Bracken returned from six months in Northern Alaska describing a glacier ascent about 8000 feet high where a herd of mountain sheep froze in ice after a midwinter blizzard. The carcasses were eaten by arctic bears and wolves while Bracken, a 25 year scientific miner, had spent three years in the Yukon.
