Beginning at noon a park dinner will feature all kinds of useful articles for disposal. Music by the Moulton Concert Band will accompany the event. Cake and coffee will be served throughout the afternoon.
The event showcases the Billimek Orchestra performing a night of music with an open invitation to all guests. Attendees are expected to enjoy a formal ball atmosphere and dance under theater lighting.
Prof A P Bolten of Flatonia will head the Nordheim school next session. Miss Magnolia Nachlinger of Rosenberg visited J F Rupple's family. A G Kotzebue and family stayed with F R Cowdin in Moulton. Dewey Baugh and Lewis Berger go to A M College for study. Carl Welhausen stays in New York City banking. Emil Pesek and family concern with mother F J Pesek ill after operation. Roscoe Canon visits Shiner then plans study in El Paso at State University.
R. E. McMaster of Yoakum bought a truck load of fat logs here Tuesday for shipment to Houston. He plans another visit Monday October 25 and asks hog sellers to contact Papacek and Krause of this place.
Flatonia hosts its Nighth Annual Fair opening Wednesday with regional days including Flatonia Schulenburg and Gonzales Day and Democrats Grange Smithville and American Legion Day. Hon T H McGregon American Party governor candidate speaks at 3:30 pm. Yoakum Columbus Waelder Day closes Saturday as bands perform.
Ed Boehm's Sons announces Elberta peaches to arrive next week. Customers are urged to telephone orders. The notice emphasizes direct sales and prompt ordering.
Official financial condition report for The First State Bank at Moulton Texas as of September 30 1920 shows assets totaling 904821.05 with liabilities of 904821.05. Public Weigher Anton J. Jilek reports 6 448 bales of cotton marketed in Moulton up to Wednesday night confirming ongoing trade activity and local supply levels.
Mr William Kotzebue and family from Galveston are in Moulton this week visiting relatives and friends.
Charles Kaase and family from Temple visited his parents north of town as a record breaking cotton crop was gathered in their area. Mr and Mrs Ed Shandera of Yoakum welcomed a baby boy. Mrs Shandera was formerly Emma Miadenka of this place. The Eagle sends congratulations and best wishes.
The Selzer family and Rud Haas visited Gonzales to be with John Beyer who is ill. A new baby boy arrived Sunday, welcoming a brother for two sisters. Oak Grove trustees set the 1920-21 school term to start October 4 and recommended Frank Nagelmueller to fill John Hofner’s vacant seat. Autumn begins next Thursday with cooler nights and chances of rain. September 21, 1920.

Mrs Henrietta Kaase mother of Fritz Kaase of near town died at her home in Swiss Alp Thursday night after months of illness. Her remains were laid to rest in Swiss Alp Cemetery Sunday morning with Rev Neumann of Freyburg officiating. Born in Anhalt Germany December 16 1844 she was 75 years 9 months and days old at death. She came to Texas as a young girl and married F Kaase in 1860, who died seven years ago. Surviving are eleven children including Fritz of Moulton Adolph Paul and Otto of Swiss Alp and several daughters in Texas Kentucky and Swiss Alp.
September 16 event hosted by Hermann Park Verein attracted many visitors from nearby towns. Moulton Concert Band opened with a march, dinner served by ladies, parade at 2 45 PM with auto banners urging Vote for T H McGregor for Governor of Texas. Shiner defeated 9 8 in baseball. Billimek orchestra played at a large evening dance.
Miss Lillian Jaeggis, graduate of the Sam and Will Moore Institute class of 1920, left for Denton to enter the College of Industrial Arts after passing the entrance exam with fourteen units. The institute, rated second class, performs at the level of first class high schools in the region, and Moulton may soon lead in the eleventh grade.
The Catholic Ladies' Aid Society announces a large bazaar at Herman Park hall this Sunday October 3 to support the Catholic church. Refreshments will be served and a strong crowd is expected. The Moulton Concert Band performs in the afternoon and the Bilimek Orchestra in the evening.
Miss Mary Tomasko was observed in Shiner on Monday afternoon between train arrivals. The sighting notes her brief visit in the town during travel.
