Fayette County bonds issued for roads R D No 2 totaling 110 900 and school house bonds for Fayetteville and Plum totaling 8 000 have been sold at par plus accrued interest to county citizens. Demand remains and the next issue is expected to attract local investors.
Fire destroyed most of the E. W. Morris house on Edgar Street in Yoakum early Friday morning. Chief Osborn reported total damages around 1400 dollars for the house and its contents.
Mr. R. B. Papacek and family spent Sunday in Yoakum. Dr. and Mrs. J. D. Gray of Yoakum visited relatives in Moulton Sunday.
LeRoy Buescher of Smithville spent the latter part of last week in Moulton to visit his grandfather August G. Mueller and attend to business matters.
