Governor Allred proclaims November 9 to 16 as Texas Literature Week in Austin. The Texas Centennial Exposition will honor Texas authors, and the governor commends the public to read The Sage of Romantic Texas during the observance.
Mr and Mrs Elo Fehrenkamp visited in Schulenburg Sunday. Woodrow Meyer of LaGrange was a business visitor in Moulton Monday. Miss Doris Arnim returned from visits to San Antonio and San Saba. William H Voss and family visited in San Antonio last week. Lee Jarosek and Richard Boehm were in Temple recently. Emil Bevan joined Jain Chevrolet Company. Frank Biehunko Sr and son were in Temple part of last week. Mrs O F Knape visited in Yoakum with ill neighbor Henry Etlinger. William Hohlt and Shiner visitors came to see Fehrenkamp parents Sunday.
Mrs Henry Fehrenkamp of Moulton and Mr and Mrs William Hohlt of Shiner visited in San Antonio Friday. Louis Fishbeck has accepted employment with Jordan Raab who will operate a filling station and blacksmith shop on Highway No 95. Mrs Ed Boehm Sr Mrs Helen Albrecht Miss Marguerite Boehm Miss Ethel Mary Boehm and Miss Dorothy Jean Jaeggli left Sunday for Dallas and Denton. Mr and Mrs John Mladenka Mr and Mrs Christian Orts and Rose Nell and Mr and Mrs Johnnie Mladenka visited Mr and Mrs Joe Etlinger in Flatonia Sunday.
J W Rives of Medina was called by the First Baptist Church to become pastor in Flatonia Texas. The local pastor supplies several small nearby churches.
Letters of administration granted August 24 1936 by Lavaca County Texas to S E Kolar administr ator of the estate of John Kolar deceased. Claimants must present claims within legal time and those owing the estate should pay to the administrator at Moulton Texas.
Taxpayers in Gonzales Texas will pay 2.80 in taxes per hundred dollars of valuation this year including state county school and road levies. Road tax 60 cents and school tax 93 cents. County 65 cents and state 62 cents.
