Phony tickets hit rock festival mass gathering
Texas festival crowd of about 100000 faced counterfeit admission stock as Mayday Productions lost 700000 in fake tickets for Fleetwood Mac Chicago and Steve Miller shows. Rev. Malcolm Riker pledged to curb gatherings while Anderson cited 16 17 outlets and Quick Tick Houston printing the fakes. Investigators consider the scale the largest counterfeiting operation seen in Texas and perhaps the nation with tickets sold at ten dollars in advance and twelve fifty at the gate.
