Ginners Secretary Sues Over State Warehouse Law Attack
Dabney White of Tyler, secretary of the State Ginners Association, seeks a writ of habeas corpus in the Court of Criminal Appeals challenging the warehouse law. He was arrested in Tyler for refusing to take three samples from a bale and claims the law is unconstitutional, saying it costs farmers and ginners about 1.5 million dollars annually without benefit. Senator Weinert says special counsel will be used to defend the law as a suit by J. M. Nelson against Rockwall County ginners proceeds before Judge Kenneth Foree.

Two Bodies Found in Hull of F-4 Submarine
Honolulu reports two bodies recovered from the hull of the submarine F-4 as divers cleared the after battery compartment. Lieutenant K B Crittenden suspects one may be Alfred Ede the diver commander or Ensign Timothy A Parker, a cap fragment and an officer insignia suggesting officer remains. The bodies were badly damaged and the cap insignia worn away making identification impossible. A small illegible notebook was found containing battery records, offering no clear clue to the sinking.

Term of court opens in Rockwall County
The ware house law is attacked in a suit under two sections of the bill of rights and the Federal Constitution. The ginner must take three cotton samples and certify them, claimed as deprivation of property. The argument asserts cotton grade and bail ing are affected, and making the ginner an agent for the grower imposes an unsolicited agent. The suit seeks an injunction.
