Old Age Assistance Grants Raise by Five Dollars
A $5.00 increase in Old Age Assistance and Aid to the Blind grants takes effect in October for eligible recipients. Those on both Old Age Assistance and Social Security will not receive this raise separately. others on Aid to Dependent Children get a smaller increase. Maximum grant rises to $55.00 from $50.00, but individual totals depend on needs and income. Checks will be issued in October for $5.00 more, with no local contact needed.
