San Antonio business men tour Moult to study local commerce

A delegation of eighty two representative San Antonio merchants traveled by special train Wednesday afternoon to Moult. A twenty piece band played as they visited local establishments. The event highlights Texas growth in commerce and population and promotes keeping Texas dollars in Texas through the Trade Extension Department of the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce.

Lad From Yoakum Stops Babe Ruth In Great Series

In Washington on September 1 thousands of wild supporters greeted Bucky Harris players returning from a series in Yankee Stadium. Fred dy Marberry of Yoakum Texas pitched superbly finishing three games and striking out Babe Ruth three times. Tom Taylor, former Houston lad, predicted the Bucks would win the pennant.

Etlinger Family Moves from Moulton to Yoakum

Moulton Boy Scouts Elect New Senior Patrol Leader

On August 30 the Moulton Boy Scouts held a special meeting with roll call minutes business drills and games. New member Robert Kotzebue transferred from Galveston is a Star Scout with ten merit badges and named Senior Patrol Leader. Meetings are now held Fridays at the new place.

W L Clayton of Houston is state chairman and Guy M Bryant of Houston treasurer of the Democratic national campaign fund. Lynch Davidson becomes the first Texan to contribute, giving $1,000, as the committee targets about $400,000 from Texas.

Skat Tournament at Hermann Park Hall Yields Top Prizes

Thirty two skat players competed in the second skat tournament at Hermann Park Hall on Sunday afternoon. Lucas Rehmer won first prize, with Gus Koenig of Shiner second, Otto Menken of Shiner third, Louis Wagner of Shiner fourth, and Louis J. Schacherl fifth.
