Test Well For Irrigation Near Ro Lena
Andrew Faltisek, living five miles south of Rowena, drilled a test irrigation well on his land. The first well yielded about fifty gallons per minute with water rising twenty feet on a three inch pump and a twenty inch stroke. A second well twenty feet away showed stronger flow lifting water thirty two feet from seventy one feet depth. He plans to hook both wells to one engine and prepare for substantial irrigation next year. The Rowena Reporter notes further wells may appear south of town as water is plentiful.
