Gonzales Duck Shipments Highlight Texas Manufacturing
The Gonzales Cotton Mills sent a load of duck to Dallas totaling 75 bales and 70 000 yards and a car to San Francisco with 90 bales and 80 000 yards. The Galveston News notes this shows Texas manufacturing earning back profits from domestic goods. A visiting couple from Seguin called on Mrs. Goetz and family in Galveston last Sunday. An elegant shower for Miss Emmie Helmcamp, soon to wed N J Niedermann, featured Guido's roof garden and prizes won by Mrs R Reynolds of New Orleans and Esther Norton with Jules Norman Biron as Cupid.

Death of Mrs Mina Krause in Moulton
Mrs Mina Krause wife of Henry Krause dies at 1 35 PM after brief illness. She planned a Port Arthur visit to see her daughter. Funeral services were held at home and at Columbus Catholic church with interment in Odd Fellows Rest. Surviving are her husband two daughters a daughter in law and six grandchildren. The Eagle extends sympathy to the family.
