Visit to Gibson homestead recalls family ties and old friends
A visit traced to Jan 4 1883 and May 16 1888 dates, recalling Mr. John L. Gibson’s later years. Guides like Leon Lowe helped reach the old homestead now partly standing after decades of road building and post oak growth. They met Miss Hattie Wood, Miss Mary Wood, Mrs Rosie Mitchell, Miss Ella Chew, and later shared a chicken supper with Mr and Mrs Albert Baker near Gonzales.
