Village notes show many residents traveling to Shiner and Houston for visits and business. Several families welcomed guests and newborns, while local officials collected 1908 taxes. A grand ball at Hermann park is announced with music by the Moulton orchestra.
A local store advertises a wholesale style sale with prices on dress goods wool skirting lace curtains and apparel. It touts no profit and urges customers to shop to see how far a dollar will go with items from shoes hats pants coats gloves and groceries including coffee sugar and vinegar.
Those indebted to F A Kubicek are asked to call Jno Bucek at the First State Bank of Moulton to settle their accounts. Respectfully, F A Kubicek.
A candidate appeals to voters of reduct No. 6 requesting support for a public weigher position. R. A. Erincer signs the request in a formal plea to residents.
