Death of Mrs Mary Frysak at 71 and local notes

Mrs Mary Frysak aged 71 wife of John Frysak died at her home near Moulton on Wednesday and was buried in the Catholic cemetery Thursday leaving four children. The Eagle offers sympathy to survivors. Also notes Mr F L Havel and family visited relatives, Miss Millie Templin from Engle, visits by Mrs Sam Jaeggl and others, Hermann Park Verein dances announced for November 6 and 24 with Billimek's orchestra, and Fred Manke and family from Ammansville visiting local residents before leaving for San Antonio.

School Notes Primary and Upper Grades Update

The article lists current enrollments and activities across grades from primary to high school. It notes 54 primary pupils with 13 underage paying tuition, morning singing between 8 45 and 9 00, new desks sought, lit society programs in fifth and combined eighth sixth tenth grades, new General Science textbooks, health book drawings, and a recovering English teacher Miss Hassell.

Home and School Club meets Friday at 4 pm at Law and Will Moore Institute. Oswald Buescher of Smithville discussed business. Fleet State Bank offers free box rental until 1 1 1923 with burglar alarm. Mrs Wunderlich and daughter return to Yoakum after visit with George Baur family. Lena Schneider and nephew Emmett Schroeder dine with Ben Schneider. Mrs Ki Kreechnik hosted birthday party Monday afternoon. Edmund L Etlinger and son Clemence return from Seguin. Moulton Band played Hermana Sons celebration. Billimek orchestra provided dance music. Mrs Edmund Arnim of Houston visits her parents before heading to San Antonio to see her ill husband.

Forty Two Club Enjoys '42' Party At Jaeggi Home

The Forty Two Club held a social evening at the Jaeggi residence with Mrs. J T Jaeggli and Mrs. Ed Studeman as co hosts. Six tables played eleven rounds of '42' followed by ice cream and cake. Thelma Moore won all games and first prize a ivory hat brush. booby went to Mrs U T Jaeggli. Attendees included Vince Rehmer Rud B Papacek Fred Krause Geo von Lieneo Edwin Jaeggli and others with several Jaeggli family members assisting.

Death of Mrs. Joe Anders in Schulenburg

Mrs Joe Anders of Schulenburg died after a weeks long illness at a LaGrange hospital. She was 56 and mother to Oscar and Eugene Anders and mourned by son Joe and daughter Miss Ella of Subulenburg. Funeral was held Sunday at Schulenburg Catholic cemetery with many relatives and friends attending. The Eagle extends sympathy to the family.

Mouston Electric Light Plant Nearing December Operation

All parts except the engines are on the ground. Work crews dig holes set poles string main wires and wire houses. Management expects the plant to be in operation by December with progress satisfactory.

Death of Bryan Cluis in Moulton area

Bryan Cluis the son of Mr and Mrs Oscar Cluis of near Old Moulton died Thursday October 6 after a brief illness. His body was laid to rest in the Moulton Public Cemetery on the 6th anniversary of his birth. The Eagle extends its sympathy to the bereaved parents.

Tax rolls under inspection in Halletteville Tex

County Commissioners Court has reviewed the assessor's tax rolls and 48 places near Bame are approved. The tax collector will begin collecting taxes and tour the county visiting every business to allow tax payments without a trip to the county seat.

School board names Martha Sperry attendance officer

Hallettsville Texas October 5 The county school board has employed Miss Martha Sperry as county attendance officer and compulsory attendance became effective October 3 Miss Sperry had formerly served in the same capacity and given good service.

Senior Clase of 1921 22 elects officers at Sam and Will Moore Institute

The Senior Clase of 1921 22 at the Sam and Will Moore Institute organized and elected officers for the coming year. Herbert Meivers is president, Gladys Jaeggli vice president, Cecile Rebmet secretary treasurer, Clarence Knape press reporter. Blue and grey were selected for class voters. The motto has not yet been reelected.

Wedding of Wenske Hirsch at Catholic Church

Rudolph Weyske and Miss Rita Hirsch wed Tuesday at nine in a Catholic ceremony officiated by Rev. Walher Kopp. Afterward, relatives hosted a home reception at the groom’s parents in this city with a bountiful dinner. The couple will reside on the groom’s family farm in Komensky.

Lutheran Frauen Verein meeting notes at Moulton and Bourville

The Moulton Lutheran Frauen Verein met at Mrs. G H Mueller's last Thursday and enjoyed a delightful afternoon with usual refreshments. Mrs Leo Jaroszewski attended. Bourville Lutheran Frauen Verein held a regular meeting with Mrs Hy F Mueller. Refreshments were served and the next meeting is planned with Mrs Rudolph Vogt Sr in October.

Judge Spooner Dies at 72 in Quonzales

Judge Thomas Harrison Spooner died in Quonzales on October 8 at age 72. A Mississippi native who came to Gonzales as a youth, he was admitted to the bar in 1871 and served as district attorney and district judge of the twenty fifth judicial district. Surviving are his widow and five children.
