Cassara to assume new duties with Southwestern Bell
Fred G. Cassara district manager for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in Houston and 20 area exchanges moves to headquarters for Southeast Texas. He is succeeded by O. J. Clements who will supervise telephone matters with independent companies in the region. Clements, a nine year Houston manager, started in 1928 after UT Austin BB A degree, had roles in Port Arthur Houston and Wichita Falls, and in 1933 became manager at Nacogdoches and led UT alumni and Rotary chapters.
