Special Session Of Legislature Is Now In Prospect
Austin Nov 3 A special session of the legislature may occur within a year to consider a severance tax on Texas natural gas for export. Governor Grenor Coke R Stevenson said the tax would be in his recommendations when a session is held. He did not commit to an extra session before the January 1945 regular session and opposed a pipeline to West Virginia as it would deplete Texas natural resources.
