Homecoming at Old Moulton draws wide state turnout
About 250 former residents and descendants from over twenty communities gathered at Old Moulton on Sunday May 16 for a homecoming. The event included church services, a large dinner, and talks with plans for an annual reunion on the third Sunday in May. Out-of-town visitors from San Antonio Houston Galveston Gonzales Port Arthur and other towns registered, sharing memories of Old Moulton Institute and the community.

The Moulton Business Men's League held its regular meeting Tuesday. Officers announced, and Frankie Smith was elected as duchess to represent Moulton at the Yoakum Tom celebration. The group discussed civic projects including incorporation steps for firemen benefits and honoring Memorial Day and the town's fiftieth anniversary.

Two Shiner Wreck Victims Buried
Shiner Texas mourns as Emil Drabek age 20 is killed and Ted Mikeska about 24 dies from injuries after an automobile crash Sunday. Christi Stock and Wilma Pfeil remain hospitalized after a sedan overturned several times after a wheel struck a culvert. Funeral services were held in Shiner on Monday.

Buried in Flatonia Dick Osterloh dies at 67
Carl Dietrich Osterloh known as Dick Osterloh died suddenly at his home near Flatonia from a heart attack. Funeral held at his home with Rev. A H Falkenberg officiating. Burial in Flatonia City Cemetery. He was 67. Survived by widow 2 children Alma Olson and John Frederick Osterloh and 8 grandchildren. One child died in infancy. He was born in Oldenburg Germany and moved to Texas at 22. He served as Flatonia precinct county commissioner and as 1980 census enumerator.
